more 80's jive

Looking for prizes to give out at your 80's party?  Honestly, PacMan IS the 80's as far as video games go.  For party entertainment have a video game contest - did you save that old Atari system?  The winner can take home this PacMan potholder - hello yellow munch mouth.

you spin me right round, baby right round, like a record

Planning an 80's party?  I always am in my mind - I can't wait to actually have the party and invite real people.

Here is a totally rad favor idea for all your tubular friends...

recordable discs that look like vinyl.  Love it!  Burn some of your favorite 80's tunes onto these and send everyone home with some musical memories.

totally rad baby shower, fer sure!

Run, don't walk over to Jessica Claire's blog  and check out her January 14th post.  Jessica is an amazing photographer and from the looks of the baby shower she put together for a friend she is an even better party girl.

The cake is amazing - love the garbage pail kids & the people pics are to die for - you just have to see them.  For some the pictures will take you back to that time that we all thought we were super stylish - what were any of us 80's kids thinking?!?!?

thanks to the ex boyfriend for the mix tape of love songs

I came across this idea over at Apartment Therapy's Re-Nest.  I love the graphic look of this closet and thought for a minute..."how can I turn this idea into a party?"

A while back I posted a brief little post about an 80's party - one day I'm going to throw this party. This cassette tape idea would translate perfectly into a party idea for a totally tubular 80's theme.  I am picturing cassette tapes covering a square or rectangle table with a piece of glass over top to keep it all steady and smooth.  Admit it, it would look cool.

So now I'm off to dig through the boxes containing my most precious high school possessions and hopefully I'll find all those love song mix tapes from my multitude of admirers (all three of them)  Maybe I won't be finding quite enough tapes to cover a table - perhaps I better hit Goodwill.
